Phone numbers and caller ID
PreviewRowCall provides the numbers calls come from. The call type decides the number series, so a call is never marked as unsolicited.
You don't need your own phone numbers. RowCall provides them, registers them, and keeps them healthy. Your org gets its number when RowCall approves your business (see Verify your business); you'll see it in Settings → Phone numbers. Numbers are never taken automatically.
The kind of number
RowCall places only transactional and service calls about the shopper's own order (see Call types and consent), from landline-series numbers registered for business calls. Promotional calls aren't available, so no promotional numbers are used.
RowCall declares each number to the operator for automated calls on DLT, and calls shoppers only from declared numbers. See Registration (DLT).
Numbers are RowCall's
The numbers belong to RowCall and its carriers. Several businesses may share one, and RowCall may change or withdraw a number. You can't keep or move a number, or present it as your own business line. Calls back to a shared number may not reach you, so give shoppers your own support number for callbacks.
Caller ID
Shoppers see the RowCall number, and the call opens by naming your store: "an automated assistant calling for Halden Electronics". Tell your shoppers to expect a call, for example in the order confirmation email or at checkout, so they pick up.
Keeping numbers healthy
Numbers that get marked as spam stop getting answered. RowCall:
- spreads calls across numbers and watches answer rates per number
- checks numbers against spam labelling and rests or replaces numbers that get flagged
- only calls shoppers with a reason and consent, which keeps complaints low in the first place
Dedicated numbers
Larger stores and platforms can ask for numbers used only for their calls. Ask on the contact page.
