What is RowCall
RowCall makes short automated phone calls to shoppers at the moments that cost a store money, and returns the answers as data.
RowCall calls your shoppers when something about an order needs a quick answer, asks a fixed set of questions in their language, and gives you every answer as a typed value with the recording behind it.
The calls RowCall makes
RowCall is built for ecommerce first. It comes with ready-made flows for the moments in an order's life where waiting costs money.
| Flow | When it calls | What it finds out |
|---|---|---|
| Order verification | A high-value or cash-on-delivery order is placed | Was it really them, is the address right, can someone receive it |
| Live checkout help | A payment fails or the shopper taps "call me" at checkout | What stopped them, and sends a fresh payment link |
| Checkout recovery | A checkout stalls and the shopper opted in to a call | Still interested, what's in the way, wants a link |
| Delivery and installation slots | A big item is ready to dispatch | A slot that works, access notes, who will be home |
| Failed delivery rescue | The courier marks a failed attempt | A new slot, the right address, another recipient |
| Return-intent save | A shopper asks to return an item | Why, and whether an exchange or a fix would do |
You can also build your own flow on the same engine. See Flows.
Who it is for
RowCall is for stores that sell expensive things online: electronics, appliances, furniture and mattresses, jewellery and watches, premium fashion, eyewear. One lost sale, failed delivery or fake COD order costs these stores far more than a call, so they can call every order that needs it.
Many stores reach RowCall through the commerce platform they already use. Glood is the first. Platforms and developers can also connect directly through the API.
What RowCall does for you
RowCall owns everything under the call:
- the phone numbers and caller ID, of the right type for each call
- the voice, speech recognition and the conversation itself
- recordings and transcripts
- the flow: the script, the questions, the answers it captures and the actions it may take
Your store, or the platform it runs on, sends the event and reads the answers.
What RowCall will not do
These rules are built in. You can't turn them off.
- Every call says it is an automated assistant in its first sentence.
- It only calls shoppers with a valid reason and consent for that call.
- It asks your questions and only yours. It can word them naturally but can't add its own.
- It never asks for card numbers, codes or passwords. Payment always happens through a secure link.
- When a shopper says not to call again, that holds for every flow in your org.
