Organizations

An org is the workspace your team shares. One person can belong to several orgs, for example a brand and its sister brand, with a different role in each.

Create an org

When you first sign in with no org, RowCall asks you to create one:

1. Name it

   Use your company or team name, for example "Halden Electronics".

2. Pick a timezone

   Calling hours are read in this timezone. Most Indian stores keep Asia/Kolkata.

3. Invite your team

   Add teammates now, or skip and do it later from Settings.

You become the org's Owner. To create another org later, open the org switcher at the top of the sidebar and choose Create an org.

If RowCall staff set up your org for you, you get an email invite instead. Accepting it makes you the Owner.

Switch orgs

Click the org name at the top of the sidebar to see every org you belong to, with your role in each. Press Ctrl K (⌘ K on a Mac) to jump to any page or org by typing.

Open Settings → General. Owners and Admins can change:

The org address (for example /o/halden-electronics) is set when the org is created and doesn't change.

Transfer ownership

Every org has exactly one Owner. To hand it over:

1. Open Settings → General → Transfer ownership

   Only the Owner sees this.

2. Pick a member

   The new owner must already be a member. Invite them first if they aren't.

3. Confirm

   They become Owner and you become Admin. Only the new Owner can transfer it back.

Delete an org

The Owner can delete an org from Settings → General → Delete org by typing its name to confirm. Everyone loses access at once.

If your org is suspended

If RowCall suspends an org, for example over a breach of the acceptable use policy, members see a notice instead of the app and calls stop. Nothing is deleted. Contact us to resolve it.
