FAQ
Answers to the questions stores ask most about RowCall, from consent and languages to data, pricing and testing.
About RowCall
Who is behind RowCall?
RowCall is built, owned and operated by Loopclub Internet Private Limited, a company based in New Delhi, India. The whole stack is ours: phone numbers, voices, speech recognition, recordings, flows and the data.
Who is RowCall for?
Online stores that sell expensive things, such as electronics, appliances, furniture, jewellery, premium fashion and eyewear, and the commerce platforms that serve them. See What is RowCall.
Can anyone sign up?
Not yet. RowCall is opening to stores by invitation. Join the waitlist and we'll email your invite; once you're in, you can try the agent with test calls straight away. Live calls to shoppers start once RowCall has verified your business and you've added credit. See Getting access.
How much does it cost?
RowCall is prepaid. You top up your org's balance, and each connected shopper call is charged by the second at your per-minute rate (₹3.00, 30 seconds at least per call). Unanswered calls, test calls and simulations are free. See Pricing and billing.
Shoppers and consent
Will shoppers know it's automated?
Yes. Every call opens by saying it's an automated assistant calling for your store, in the shopper's language. You can change the wording, not remove it. See The disclosure line.
Who can RowCall call?
Only shoppers with a reason for the call and the consent that call type needs, inside calling hours. See Call types and consent.
What if a shopper doesn't want calls?
They can say so on any call. RowCall stops calling them from every flow in your org straight away. See Opt-outs.
Does it take payments over the phone?
Never. It doesn't ask for card numbers, OTPs or passwords. It sends a secure payment link by SMS or WhatsApp, and the shopper pays there.
Calls
Which languages?
English and Hindi to start, with more added as we test them. Within a call, RowCall switches when the shopper does. See Languages and voices.
Do I need my own phone numbers or AI vendors?
No. RowCall provides numbers, voices, speech recognition and recordings. You send events and read answers.
Can I test without calling anyone?
Yes. Every flow can be simulated as a voice call in your browser, using your microphone, with sample inputs and sample action replies. Nothing is dialled. See Simulate a call.
Can a person take over a call?
Yes, by hand from the app or automatically when the shopper asks. See Human handoff.
Can RowCall change an order by itself?
No. It asks your store or platform, through an action, and your system decides. See Actions.
Data
Where is data stored?
In India, in Bengaluru: call records, transcripts, recordings and backups. See Recordings and data.
Who can see my shoppers' data?
Your org's members, by role, and RowCall staff only when needed to support you. Your data is used only to run your calls. See the privacy policy and data processing terms.
Can I export or delete everything?
Yes. Export results as CSV at any time, and ask us to delete your data. See Export.
Platforms and developers
Can I start calls from my own systems?
Yes, through the API: one request starts a call, and webhooks bring the answers back. See Developers.
We're a commerce platform. Can we offer RowCall to our merchants?
Yes. One partner account manages many merchant orgs, each with its own data. See Building a platform integration.
